VEX Robotics Competition Team
Aug 2023 – May 2026
Competition
As a VEX Robotics Project Manager, I led my team through the design, building, programming, and testing of competition robots. I helped our team become the first in school history to qualify for the Illinois State and VEX World Championships. I also earned two-time Illinois Virtual Skills Champion and 2025 Build Instruction Guide Winner. I created a 500-page engineering notebook documenting our season, serving as a guide for future teams and establishing a stronger foundation for our robotics program.

Engineering Club
Aug 2022 – May 2026
Leadership
Vice President of the school’s largest non-volunteering club — 124 members, 7 subsets, and a makerspace that never sat still. MakerFaire (a year-long project showcase for 300+ students and 100+ visitors), VEX Robotics, Glenview’s Got STEA, Project Enable (3D-printing prosthetics donated to children in need), and AI Club. Along the way we ran monthly STEM events for 60 elementary and middle schoolers and raised $1,000+ for new makerspace equipment.

Water1st
Aug 2022 – May 2026
Leadership
As Co-President of Water1st, I rebuilt the club from the ground up after our senior leadership graduated. I organized fundraising initiatives, raised $500+ for Water1st International, and helped educate students about the global water crisis. I worked to grow student involvement and create a sustainable club that could continue supporting clean-water projects in communities lacking reliable access to safe water.

Fencing
Aug 2022 – May 2026
Sport
As a four-year varsity men’s foil fencer, I competed at the conference’s highest level against USA Fencing-rated athletes. I earned 6th at the Stevenson Varsity Invitational, 7th at the GLFHSC Varsity Individual Meet, and 5th at the New Trier Varsity Team Championship (2026), along with 5th at the GBS Varsity Team Championship. Fencing strengthened my discipline, adaptability, and ability to stay composed under pressure while making quick decisions against constantly changing opponents.

Chinese Club
Aug 2022 – May 2026
Community
As an active member of Chinese Club, I participated in cultural events and activities that celebrated Chinese traditions, language, and heritage. I helped build a welcoming community by engaging with other students and contributing to club activities. Through the club, I developed a greater appreciation for cultural traditions while helping create opportunities for students to connect and learn from one another.
